Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib is situated in Bidar, Karnataka. When Guru Nanak, founder of Sikhism, visited Bidar it was still a small village located on a hilly track. But when people came to know about Guru Sagib, they started gathering here. They told Guru Nanak about the scarcity of water and also the water available in Bidar was saltish and not fit for drinking. Hearing about their condition Guru Nanak touched his foot to a nearby hill rock and removed the stone. To the surprise the of people unrestraint of clean water started gushing out. That water source is still preserved here and serving the people of Bidar.
Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib is located amidst the slopes of the hilly terrain of Bidar. It was built in 1948 and stands tall and mighty in the valley surrounded by beautiful laterite hills. The Gurudwara has three main halls called the Darbar Sahib, Diwan Hall and Langar Hall. In the Sukhaasan room, Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of Sikh is placed. A separate room called the Likhari Room has been made to accept and issue receipts.
During recent renovation it was decided to install a new audio installation throughout the temple. The new installation had to ensure a perfect coverage throughout the complex but also the neighbouring area of the temple had to get a good audio distribution so that everyone could follow the celebrations & prayers.
For this reason, 8 HS212 full range horn speakers were chosen for an excellent 360° coverage of the temple’s environment. These AUDAC horn speakers offer great sound dispersion and enough power to cover the entire terrain. For both indoor, as well as some strategic places outdoor a combination of WX802/OW outdoor wall speakers and XENO8 Full range speakers are used to guarantee everyone has the same optimal sound experience.
